Turkish Airlines is the new sponsor of Argentinian football team, River Plate. The three year agreement starts in 2019-2020 and ends in 2021-2022.
According to the agreement, Turkish Airlines’ logo will be emblazoned on River Plate’s jerseys. This makes it the first airline to sponsor River Plate, famously known as “The Millionaires”.
River Plate’s official uniform started to feature Turkish Airline’s logo on 4th of August 2019, during the match against Lanús.
The flag carrier airline has supported many football clubs over the years, such as: Barcelona, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, they also sponsored UEFA Euro in 2016. Recently they gained significant success with their commercial starring famous footballers Lionel Messi and Didier Drogba.
Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, M.
